About

The newly constructed, 5,000 sq ft Library of Herpetology (LOH), completed in summer 2024, is located on the campus of Chiricahua Desert Museum & Geronimo Event Center. Tens of thousands of common and rare books, scientific reprints, offprints, miscellaneous articles, original art pieces, and other items are located within in this beautiful building. The LOH is used during conferences and symposia to house poster sessions, sponsors and vendors. Several computer stations and Internet and WiFi services are available for free use. This facility can also be used for private parties and business meetings.

The LOH operates privately and not-for-profit 501(c)(3). Interested parties can arrange to make an appointment to view and use the library with a staff person from the museum. Additionally, the museum can provide PDFs of limited pages of rare books or articles at no cost. The LOH encourages donations to curate and maintain this rare and unique collection.
